Shanghai, China, July 5, 2012 - Praxair China's large-scale air separation plant in Anhui Province, east China, was put into operation successfully. The unit is about 100 kilometers away from Nanjing and supplies oxygen, nitrogen, instrument gas and factory air to Anhui Huayi Chemical Co., Ltd. at the Anhui Wuwei Qiaoduo Cogeneration Fine Chemical Base Project.

        The large single-unit air separation plant can produce 3,000 tons of oxygen per day to meet the industrial gas needs of Anhui Huayi project. In addition, it supplies liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon to the surrounding markets. These new liquid products combine with Praxair's liquid production and distribution network in the region to further improve the efficiency and stability of delivery to customers in the rapidly growing local liquid market. This is yet another example of Praxair's ability to supply oxygen to coal gasification plants. Coal gasification plant to provide raw materials for the chemical industry.

        The new air separation unit has a production capacity of 1,700 tons of oxygen per day (48,000 standard cubic meters per hour), supplying Meishan Steel with oxygen, nitrogen and argon to meet its growing gas needs while providing energy saving, product quality And safety added value. The liquid capacity of this new unit further enhances Praxair's ability to provide a steady supply of liquid to the customers in the region.
