Shanghai, China, July 5, 2012 - Praxair China's large-scale air separation plant in Anhui Province, east China, was put into operation successfully. The unit is about 100 kilometers away from Nanjing and supplies oxygen, nitrogen, instrument gas and factory air to Anhui Huayi Chemical Co., Ltd. at the Anhui Wuwei Qiaoduo Cogeneration Fine Chemical Base Project.
The large single-unit air separation plant can produce 3,000 tons of oxygen per day to meet the industrial gas needs of Anhui Huayi project. In addition, it supplies liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon to the surrounding markets. These new liquid products combine with Praxair's liquid production and distribution network in the region to further improve the efficiency and stability of delivery to customers in the rapidly growing local liquid market.
